City Nature Challenge (CNC) is a 4-day global competition which gets people of all ages outside and snapping photos of urban wildlife of all shapes and sizes, competing to see which cities can get the most observations or identify the most number of species. CNC, with the iNaturalist app or website to report observations, is a great platform to raise awareness of the biodiversity around us and engage more members of the public to get involved in citizen science. It also produces baseline data on urban biodiversity across the world. This year, between April 28-May 1, more cities and people across Asia will be participating in the international challenge than ever before with 44 cities registered!
