Se pueden observar tanto en la época de lluvias como en la época seca, especialmente asociadas a bosques húmedos desde Costa …Rica hasta las Bolivia. Aunque se conoce poco sobre sus estados inmaduros, muy seguramente se alimentan de plantas de familias como Onagraceae, Vitaceae y Apocynaceae.

A kestrel project has been taking place in Vienna since 2010, which examines the adaptability of birds in large cities. The project thrives on reports from citizens. Anyone who has seen a kestrel and can clearly distinguish it from other birds is asked to report it. Two weeks ago I found his …breeding site 🥹 not far from me and reported it. Such citizen science projects are important and automatically connect us with nature and its living beings.

Carrhotus xanthogramma

I haven't had a chance to photograph any jumping spiders for ages, but while out in the forest last week I found three individuals of this cool species, along with another species that I had never seen before! I hadn't gotten around to editing the photos …yet, but thought I would put together this stack quickly for my first #salticidsunday of the year!

It seems like one of this spider's pedipalps is much smaller than the other, I'm guessing it lost that one previously and it's regrowing?
