We’re inviting individuals, organisations, and nature groups across the region to become Collaborating Organisers (COs)<\/strong> and help bring this effort to life on the ground. With dedicated support from our ANC coordinators, we\u2019re here to ensure you have everything you need to succeed. Please sign up via the form here.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

What Collaborating Organisers do:<\/strong><\/strong><\/h4><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Your role is to help boost participation in your community, region, or country. Here\u2019s what that can look like:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  • Organise simple nature walks<\/strong> or observation events during ANC\u2019s main days (October 3\u20136). These can be open to the public, for schools, communities, nature clubs, or even a group of friends.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Spread the word<\/strong> through your local networks<\/strong>, social media, WhatsApp groups, or newsletters. Reach out to local schools, campuses, nature groups, NGOs, or communities and let them know about the event. Encourage them to participate or conduct their own nature walks. We\u2019ll share ready-to-use email templates and messaging kits to make this easy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Encourage people around you to join in<\/strong>, make observations on iNaturalist, and engage with nature wherever they are.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Support new users with the basics of iNaturalist<\/strong> and help build a sense of shared discovery.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Consider holding online sessions<\/strong> to introduce the ANC and provide basic iNaturalist tutorials. We will hold these sessions at the regional level too, so you can also simply amplify those.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    You don\u2019t need a large team or resources to get started. Even small efforts can have a big impact.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Connection with a Growing International Network:<\/strong> Join a supportive community through CitizenScience.Asia, with opportunities for future collaborations. Connect with regional and global initiatives in citizen science, biodiversity education, and community engagement. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Access to Tools and Resources:<\/strong> Gain access to helpful kits, email templates, outreach material, and practical tips to help you engage local schools, colleges, NGOs, and nature groups. Furthermore, get support and resources from The Naturalist School<\/strong>, one of India\u2019s pioneering institutions for nature education and field-based ecological learning.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Platform to Share Your Work:<\/strong> Exceptional organisers may be featured through blog posts, social media, or ANC storytelling efforts. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Be Part of Something Bigger:<\/strong> Strengthen Asia\u2019s presence on global biodiversity platforms and contribute to real, usable data for science and nature understanding.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
